Autumn on the Farm

The turn of the seasons, the falling of leaves, the days getting colder + crisper + darker as the end of autumn sets in.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first fall on the farm - finding pumpkins + squash from the previous owners, sharing offerings out on our farm stand by the road, raking up leaves for our kittens to play in, warm afternoons spent basking in the soon-to-be gone afternoon sun.

Every moment was a gift. We truly loved the gifts of nature, and are grateful for this homestead & farm becoming our safe place.

November itself has held many precious moments.

Leaning into the season of gratitude by unplugging more often. I always take a break from my personal Instagram channel during this month + it helps me stay present as we go through the holidays. I love having the break & embracing the mundane moments of every day. It has continually opened my eyes to new things, new ways of living, learning + embracing the daily triumphs and valleys.

What are you holding onto this November?

As we enter into the holiday season — one that is so often marked by busyness, rushing around & hustle, how may we slow the moments down + breathe deeply, in the here + now?

We can start with solitude, silence + seclusion - realizing not every moment in our lives needs to be perfect or captured, or shared. We can have our own moments in quiet + secret, and relish in the joy of the absolute & ever-fleeting present.
